Stretcher Bars
All of our canvas are built using the highest grade poplar. Each board is hand selected for straightness and stability. The number of cross bars will vary according to the size of the canvas.
Stretching
Using thick 12oz cotton artist canvas, every stretcher is hand stretched for optimal tautness. Each is diagonally stapled to reduce stress on the canvas, as well as stapled on the back to tuck in the extra material.
Priming
Every canvas is primed using two coats of artist grade acrylic primer that is ready for both acrylic and oil work. Other priming options are available as well as traditional methods. Ask for more details.
